The challenge

Chevra Hatzolah Melbourne runs Code Blue, a community initiative that brings trained volunteers and lifesaving equipment closer to where emergencies happen. When someone is in cardiac arrest, choking or having a severe allergic reaction, the first few minutes decide the outcome.

Code Blue volunteers needed training that would prepare them to act quickly and confidently in exactly those moments, and it had to be easy to access and complete around the rest of their lives.

What we did

We designed and developed a branded Code Blue course in Articulate Rise, delivered as a SCORM package through aXcelerate. We broke the emergency response procedures down into clear, manageable steps, then built in interactive knowledge checks and scenario-based activities so volunteers could rehearse the decisions they would face for real.

Everything was designed to match Chevra Hatzolah's branding, so it reads as their own rather than a generic compliance course. We also created a set of reusable Rise block templates and design components, so the team can update this course and build new community response training without starting from scratch.

The result

Code Blue volunteers now have an engaging, accessible course that builds both the knowledge and the confidence to respond when it counts. Because the training lives online and is quick to complete, it supports the whole point of the initiative, getting faster, community-based emergency care to people in the moments that matter most.
